Real Church Innovation

This'll be a short one today.

Carlos Whittaker posted this on twitter last night, and it hit me right in the face:
"Church.Innovation is not setting up a twttr acct & streaming yr services,it's phoning yr members & focusing on those in need."
In. The. Face.

Do I think that setting up a twitter account and streaming services online is a bad thing? 

No.

And I doubt he does either.

But I think the disconnect comes in when we see these "sideways energy" projects as being so integral to the life of a church. If we start to focus on these as goals instead of what they really are....then we may have some issues.

And really...how often do we actually do the other? The phoning/contacting and caring?
