Stay Classy, Missouri!

That is a picture of a new billboard on I-70 near Grain Valley, Missouri.

In case you can't read it (and didn't click on the picture for a larger image), it says:

A Citizens Guide to Revolution of a corrupt government.
1. Starve the Beast, keep your money.
2. Vote out incumbents.
3. If steps, 1 & 2 fail?

So many things racing through my head...
  • The obvious Christian language of capitlizing and referencing the "Beast"
  • Voting out incumbents? ALL incumbents?  Yeah right...
  • Prepare for war you say? Something about that screams inciting treason to me.

Maybe I'm overreacting about this.

Maybe it's just some minor thing.

But after the type of religious terrorist acts of such things as the recent shootings at Ft Hood, or the murder of abortionist George Tiller, signs like this are incredibly disturbing.

Because it only takes 1 person.

And yes, I do put the shootings at Ft Hood & Tiller's murder on the same field. Granted, they were of a different scale. But they were born from the same issue.

I see the type of hate, fearmongering and "calls to action" such as the above sign to be just as dangerous as Islamic extremism.

They are our equivalent. It's the Americanized version.

It's militant religious fanaticism.

Just replace the line at the end of the sign with this:

Prepare for Jihad -- Live righteous or die!
