I think there is lots of room for innovation here, that we'd be addressing a real need of our congregation in taking the material from Sunday and giving ways for it to be used...you know...in real life.
Expanding upon it, making it personal for people, creating material and developing resources to help people take responsibility for their own spiritual growth.
There could be excitement.
But right now, we're mostly just looking at a big mess that we're not quite sure what to make of.
Trying to pick through the important pieces that will come together to create something. We know there is a need...we kinda think we know what we may want it to look like...but it's hard to see the end result in the big pile of blocks.
Daunting at this point, but we'll be narrowing down the pieces and when we start to put them together, I think it can turn into something pretty awesome.
Like a starship or something...maybe a tank.
And surely while we're constructing it we will be constantly taking out pieces and putting new ones in as it evolves and we discover what is and isn't working.
I personally think the tank could use some rocket boosters.
I may get voted down, but I'm throwing it out there anyway.
